Warren man charged with 10th drunk driving offense
Comments 0 | Recommend 0CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A Warren man with a history of drunken driving arrests dating back to 1986 has been arraigned on a 10th offense.
Forty-three-year-old Chad Kumaus was arraigned Wednesday in New Baltimore's 42-2 District Court after being charged with drunken driving, third offense, and driving with a suspended license.
He was arrested Jan. 23 in Macomb County's Chesterfield Township by police responding to a domestic disturbance call. Police say Kumaus had a blood-alcohol level of .21 percent, more than twice the state's legal limit.
Officials told The Associated Press Thursday that Kumaus was released from the Macomb County Jail, and they did not immediately know how he pleaded or if he had a lawyer.
A March 25 preliminary exam has been set.
