Teen arrested, mother question following shooting
Comments 0 | Recommend 0DETROIT (AP) - A 15-year-old has been arrested and his mother was being questioned following the shooting of another teen at a Detroit recreation center.
Detroit police Officer Leon Rahmaan says the 15-year-old was dropped off by his mother at Considine-Historic Little Rock Family Life, Education and Recreation Center about 3:40 p.m. Thursday, moments before an 18-year-old male was shot in the head near the facility's front doors.
The younger teen got back in the van and his mother drove away.
Police stopped the van a few blocks from the center.
Rahmaan says investigators were trying to determine if the boy's mother knew about the shooting.
The victim was in critical condition at a local hospital.
