Career Center Open House & Annual Fireworks Display

Find your key to success at the annual jackson Area Career Center Open House set for Thursday, March 6th from 4:30 to 7:30. Fireworks, sponsored by Classic Turning, Inc. will light up the sky at the close of the evening and provide the perfect ending to what is promising to be an informative, fun evening to showcase cutting edge career and technical education opportunities in our community.
Bring the family to tour our high-tech classrooms and learn about the dozens of opportunities we have for you! Business representatives will be on hand to talk about jobs of the future, scholarships, and current opportunities. Hear more about Michigan's high school requirements and how the Career Center can help you. Sit in on presentations about the Legacy scholarship, FIRST Robotics, and workforce forecasts.
In addition to student skill demonstrations throughout the bulding, former Career Center student Randy Wilkinson will demonstrate his creative airbrush painting on a vehicle in out Automotive Collision class. The Shop Rat group will bring in their hover craft, Tom Nicholls will display an electric car, JTV's Lisa Spampinato will cook up a fantastic dish in our Culinary Arts kitchen, and much, much more. There will aslo be a special reception for retirees and former students in our technology labratory.
