Food Banks in Danger

Food banks in the U.S. are seeing a rise in demand of about 25 percent, most from middle-class people hit hard by rising food and gas prices.

But these aid organizations depend on charity, which suffers in an economic downturn.

Congress has authorized another 100-million-dollars for emergency assistance.  That money will be available in October.
