Icy crash claims man's life on I-94 near Chelsea
Comments 0 | Recommend 0SYLVAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police say icy road conditions have claimed the life of a man on Interstate 94 near Chelsea.
State police tell WWJ-AM the crash happened about 6:15 a.m. Friday near the Kalmbach Road exit. It's in Washtenaw County's Sylvan Township, about 20 miles west of Ann Arbor.
Police say there'd been an earlier crash at the site and a car was sitting on the roadside when the man's eastbound car struck the stopped car.
State police say there were a number of other ice-related crashes, including a car hitting a fire truck stopped at a crash site.
