Unemployment Rates
New numbers released today show Michigan's unemployment rate is improving.
Earlier today the State said the number of jobless workers decreased 0.3% from March. Jobless rates for Michigan in March were the worst in the nation.
Despite the number, more manufacturing jobs were eliminated last month, mostly because of the ongoing labor disputes with auto companies. Construction jobs were also hit hard, with about 7,000 lost in April.
