Comments 0 | Recommend 0Flu season is upon us and mid-Michigan Kroger stores are making sure you're armed and ready to fight the virus.
Kroger is offering flu shots from their pharmacy seven days a week for about $25. Representatives are recommending everyone 14 and up stop by to get the seasonal vaccine.
"This is going to be an especially important year with the potential of an H1N1 campaign coming in October," said Jim Szyskowski, clinical care coordinator for Kroger of Michigan. "We're already starting to see spikes in flu incidents in this country. Most of it is H1N1."
Kroger pharmacists say they've been briefed on the H1N1 vaccine and have been answering a slew of questions from customers.
The grocery store chain is working closely with local health departments to stay on top of the virus.
