Mich. man accused of home break-in, cushion theft
Comments 0 | Recommend 0CEDAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a Twin Lake man who broke into a woman's mobile home, pulled out a clump of her hair, punched her in the face and stole two couch cushions before leaving has been arraigned.
Forty-eight-year-old Terrance Patrick O'Toole was charged Monday in Muskegon County's 60th District Court on one count of second-degree home invasion, a 15-year felony, and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, a four-year felony.
O'Toole also was charged as a second-time habitual offender.
The Muskegon Chronicle says the victim told police the incident happened last Thursday night in Muskegon County's Cedar Creek Township after she rebuffed O'Toole's suggestion that they turn their "friendship" of several years "into a dating relationship."
Police did not know whether O'Toole has a lawyer.
