Michigan movie studio announces 1st feature film
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - A suburban Detroit movie studio says its first feature will be a Civil War-era film.
Unity Studios in Allen Park will partner with The Henry Ford on "A Christmas Dream."
The announcement was made Tuesday at a graduation ceremony for 106 students of the Lifton Institute for Media Skills, who were trained for jobs in the film industry.
Unity Studios says many of the graduates will be hired to work on "A Christmas Dream," which is about a mother and daughter living in the South during the Civil War.
The Henry Ford is providing filming locations for the movie as well as its Civil War-era expertise.
Production will begin in March for "A Christmas Dream," which is being financed by a group of private investors.
