GM Reveals a Leaner, More Streamlined Company

Barely 40 days after filing for bankruptcy, General Motors revealing a leaner, more streamlined company. They'll focus on just four brands Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC.
They've slashed debt from 176 billion dollars to 48 billion, shed 22,000 employees, and 35 percent of its existing management positions.
Governor Jennifer Granholm released a statement Friday saying Michigan stands behind General Motors and its employees as they embark on their new journey.
"Along with our other domestic auto companies, General Motors will help lead a green industrial revolution in Michigan and our nation by building more fuel-efficient vehicles."
