Kid Rock says he was provoked in restaurant fight
Comments 0 | Recommend 0NEW YORK (AP) - Kid Rock says he isn't one to back down from a fight, but doesn't go looking for trouble.
The 36-year-old Detroit rock-rapper has told Ellen DeGeneres on her syndicated talk show that his honesty sometimes gets him in trouble.
Kid Rock had quarreled last month with Tommy Lee at MTV's Video Music Awards. He also was arrested early Sunday after a brawl at a Waffle House restaurant in Atlanta.
The artist says a patron inside the restaurant instigated the fight.
Police say the fight between the two moved outside to the parking lot and that the patron punched out a restaurant window.
Kid Rock and five members of his entourage were taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. He was released on bond Sunday afternoon.
