Jackson County Deputies have released the name of the man who fled the scene after a fatal motorcycle accident over the weekend.

Officials tell us forty-eight-year-old Richard Pickett of Jackson is facing charges for failing to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury or death.

 The accident happened Saturday night around 10:30 on 127 near McDevitt Avenue in Summit Township.

Officials tell us the motorcycle was attempting to exit when the driver lost control, throwing the driver and passenger from the bike. Soon after the accident, Pickett was seen picking up the motorcycle and fleeing the scene.

Fifty-year-old Bonnie Arnett of Jackson was the passenger on the motorcycle. She was killed in the crash.
