The African Sister Cities Conference continued Thursday in Lansing.

Representatives from 14 African countries along with Lansing leaders are meeting to strengthen relationships and build ties.

"We believe that the more people understand each other the better people and so that's our purpose," said President of U.S. African Sister Cities, Shirley Rivens Smith

The international conference focused on trade, economic development, agriculture and resources, education, health and peace.
