August 19, 2008 - 5:20 PM

An arrest has been made in the accident that killed three Jackson area teens in June.

Twenty-two year old Justin Jones has turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Officials say Jones purchased the alcohol that was given to the minors involved in the accident. He has been charged with two counts of furnishing alcohol to minors.

That accident happened on June 21st.

That's when three Jackson area teens were headed home from a party when they were killed in a car accident on Maple Grove Road near Cooper Road in Rives Township.

The driver of the vehicle lost control, went off the roadway and struck a tree.

Three of the four were pronounced dead at the scene, one was transported to U of M Hospital with major injuries.

Alcohol and speed were both factors in the accident.
