Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero on GM

Bernero says the move is "nothing less than an American tragedy," calling for serious trade reforms to level the global playing field so that the company can succeed.
He blames unfair free trade for the loss of millions of American jobs.
"You see manufacturing leaving this country, across the board, in suppliers and in every industry. If we don't turn that around then the auto industry has no hope. That has to be addressed in the trade agreements, we need fair trade that puts our workers on a level playing field." Said Mayor Bernero
Bernero also said he continues to applaud President Obama's efforts to help the millions of middle class Americans whose lively hood depends on the auto industry.
