Lansing Police have a person in custody in connection with a body found along the Grand River
Officials say they have one man in custody in connection with a body that was found just before nine Thursday morning lying along the Grand River in Lansing's Old Town neighborhood.
Lansing Police say the man's body was found along the river near the intersection of Grand River and Washington Avenue.
They say they have not identified the body, but it is that of a white male in his 40's.
Officials say the investigation is well underway.
"Right now, we're treating it as a suspicious death. A death investigation is being completed, we have located witnesses and we do have a person of interest in custody."
Officials believe the body had been in the water less than a day.
