Bowen selected as new Michigan lottery commissioner
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LANSING (AP) - Governor Jennifer Granholm has picked M. Scott Bowen to be Michigan's new lottery commissioner.
Bowen officially takes over on Sunday. He replaces Gary Peters, who resigned the post.
Bowen is now director of the Office of the State Employer. He will resign that position.
The former Grand Rapids-area judge unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination to run for attorney general in 2006.
