A Lansing teen is facing charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct after an Amber Alert last month.

17-year-old Xavier Bryant is accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.

Bryant was originally charged with sexual assault and kidnapping, but during his hearing Monday it was decided there wasn't enough evidence to charge him with kidnapping.

Bryant is currently being held in Ingham County Jail, if convicted he faces life in prison.

An Amber Alert was issued after the 10-year-old girl went missing, she was found the next day with Bryant.
