Flowers At The Capitol
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The weather is warming up and dozens are getting the capitol ready for the summer season, planting flowers outside today.
It's the 16th year the Kalamazoo Valley Growers Co-Op has donated flowers for volunteers to plant.
Dozens came out to the capitol today planting red white and blue flowers, and sprucing up the capitol grounds.
Mike Bradshaw said this included "removing mulch, planting annuals, cleaning it up and making the city pretty".
In addition to making the city beautiful volunteers are also taking part in the "Green Cycle Partnership", they are using plastic flower trays and pots that will all be returned for recycling.
