Crews are still on the scene working to put out hot spots after a fire at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church in Jackson.

Officials tell us the fire started in a back room at the church between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire officials say there was some damage done to the church's sanctuary.

Students at the school next door were evacuated.

There's no word on the exact cause of the fire at this time. Tune in to ABC 3 for the latest.
