A Clinton County sheriff's deputy killed in a motor cycle accident was laid to rest on Thursday afternoon.
Hundreds gathered in Saint Johns to pay their respects to 39-year-old Clinton County sheriff's deputy Douglas Alward.
The 10-year member of the Sheriff's Department was remembered as a great officer who loved his job.
Fritz Sandberg the deputy sergeant said,"We lost a great police officer, Clinton County today lost a truly great police officer."
Alward left behind a wife and two young children.
He was killed when he hit a deer on US 127 and then was run over by a semi truck.
