Drivers on US 127 are finally getting some relief just in time for the holiday weekend.
All lanes of southbound 127 between I-96 and Trowbridge are now open.
The change should make traffic flow smooth for the fourth of July holiday, and although this project is wrapping up, there are still plenty of road improvements underway in our area.
"We do have a few projects coming up on I 69 one in Clinton County, one in Shiawasee County were also waiting for a start date on a project on US 23 in Livingston County north of I 96 and on M 36 at Pettys Road in Livingston County," says Department of Transportation Spokesperson Kari Arend.
On 127, there is still a traffic shift at Dunckel Road as overpass bridge repairs continue.
