Jury finds Lansing man guilty of murder in deaths of 2 women
LANSING, Mich. (AP) - A suspected serial killer will be sentenced June 18th in the slayings of two women and an assault on a third.
Matthew Macon has been found guilty today on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Sandra Eichorn and Karen Delgado-Yates last August.
The 28-year-old Lansing man also has been found guilty of assault with intent to commit murder in an attack on Linda Chapel Jackson.
Macon also has been found guilty of one count of torture and one count of home invasion.
A first-degree murder conviction carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole.
Police have said Macon is suspected in the slayings of five other women in Lansing. He has not been charged in those cases.
