A suburban Detroit judge has set bail that could lead to the release of a man charged with killing his parents nearly three years ago.
Ronald Jabalee Jr. has been in the Macomb County jail without bond since Friday when a grand jury charged him with first-degree murder.
He's accused of fatally stabbing Ronald and Christine Jabalee in their New Baltimore garage in 2006.
Macomb County Circuit Judge Richard Caretti set bond at $1 million Tuesday after an appeal by defense lawyer Stephen Rabaut. Jabalee, the owner of a Detroit meat market, must wear an electronic tether to track his whereabouts.
One of the victims wrote a message in blood on the garage floor.
Investigators don't know what it means.
