General Motors Cuts

November 21, 2008 - 5:18 PM

While the future of the auto industry waits in limbo, Friday, General Motors announced plans to extend the holiday shutdown or make more production cuts at 5 factories, as it continues to deal with slow sales.

Factories facing cuts include a plant in Orion Township near Flint, where the holiday shutdown will last until mid-January.

There is some good news though, GM will keep or restore overtime at a few factories, including the one in Delta Township.
