LCC Movie School
Comments 0 | Recommend 0As Governor Granholm was finalizing her plan to give tax credits to professional film makers who come to Michigan, Lansing Community College was putting some final touches on it's Digital Media, Audio and Cinema program.
The college put more than half a million dollars into new hardware for the program.
Coordinators say the new program is a great opportunity for students to be positioned for good jobs in the field.
Chair of the Media, Art and Information Technology Department, John Lightner, said, "Shooting video, editing, working as a camera assistant - even working behind the scenes making graphics and titles and different things, it all comes together to make a movie."
Throughout the course, students will study digital audio recording, production, cinematography and learn other media skills.
For more information about the program, call (517) 483-1999 and ask to speak to a program representative or send an e-mail to careerfocus@lcc.edu.
