No Salmonella at Horrock's

As Federal officials continue their hunt for the source of a Salmonella outbreak linked to three types of tomatoes, local stores have been flooded with calls from concerned customers.

Raw Red Roma, Red Plum and Round Red tomatoes are all part of the recall.  The majority of stores and restaurants have removed those tomatoes, but those stores that grow their own tomatoes are safe from the recall and say they have hardly been affected.

Owner of Horrock's in Lansing, Jerry Horrock, said, "There's a lot of tomatoes that are safe, the green house tomatoes that's all we're selling right now."

Those at Horrock's in Lansing remind us that as long as you wash your tomatoes well you will not get Salmonella.
