Potterville School Fire
Students at Potterville public school had the day off today after smoke damage from a locker fire caused classes to be canceled.
The school's superintendent tells ABC 3 the fire started just before 6:00 PM last night in Potterville High School.
Crews were able to put the fire out quickly but the ventilation system carried the smoke from the high school to the middle school.
Potterville Superintendent, Bill Eis, said, "Unfortunate kinda thing, we don't like these things to happen obviously. It's a major disruption to the educational process so we're not happy about this kinda thing. But, we did clean it up quickly and the buildings are good to go now."
The superintendent says they are still looking for what caused the fire.
Officials were unable to find a natural cause and are awaiting results from an arson investigation.
