Work Begins Again in Delta Township
After a month on the picket line workers at Lansing's Delta Township Plant have returned to work with their first ever contract.
A month without production could soon turn into some hefty overtime as workers at the GM plant try to catch up.
The Buick Enclave, the GMC Acadia and the Saturn Outlook are three of the fastest selling cars in the U.S. and dealers are hungry for more.
"We're ready to build cars. We've been building cars in theis town for over a 110 years and I think the attitude of folks around here is really just get back at work and start doing what they really do well which is build high quality products," said Heidi Magyar, a GM Spokeswoman.
Thee news is bittersweet for General Motors, the company still has several other contracts to work through at other striking plants.
