The secretary of state's office said Thursday that the new plates will be available starting Monday.
Michigan offers its veterans 25 plates that highlight their service in the military, and in individual wars and conflicts.
Honorably discharged veterans and their spouses are eligible for plates signifying the branch of service, or war or conflict in which they served. Active-duty personnel and spouses are eligible for plates signifying service in a war or conflict.
There is a minimal fee to purchase the new plate. The license plates can be ordered online.
